Client: The Bilco Company
The Bilco Company is the worldwide source for specialty access products. They have been serving the building industry since 1926 with products for both Residential and Commercial sectors. Their main office is in West Haven Connecticut with Manufacturing located in Trumann, Arkansas.
Challenge Like many worldwide companies The Bilco Company wanted a web site solution to improve communications with employees, vendors, and representatives as well as increase visibility and grow their customer base. They were looking for ways to build their worldwide business and wanted a single end-to-end communication solution.
Solution TTS developed a custom website “Portal” that gives Bilco the ability to manage all external and internal communications from one single end-to-end web source. Bilco’s corporate portal serves three main functions. First it serves as a way to manage all of their global e-commerce web sites; second it is used as a lead generation tool for vendors and representatives; third it is an internal collaboration tool for employees worldwide.

Multiple document download centers for each country as well as for internal communications
In the portal products are subdivided and allocated by country as well as residential or commercial use
Smart Search Tool allows Bilco to manage all key words that users search on and are not assigned to a specific product description to be manually assigned to a product, improving product searching capabilities
Server automatically uploads a dealer file from an AS400 making the worldwide representative finder always current
